Onerway is a fast-scaling, cross-border payment service provider (PSP) helping merchants process card and alternative payments globally. This is a rare opportunity to shape the foundation of a next-generation payments business at a critical inflection point.
We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Strategic Account Manager to help our APAC ambitions. As part of the commercial team, you will be managing key account relationships across multiple industries. The ideal candidate is a born networker with a sharp commercial acumen, who thrives in a fast-paced, diverse and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition by identifying, prospecting, and converting high-value clients across key global markets.
- Own the full sales cycle from lead generation, outreach, pitching, solutioning, negotiation, and closing.
- Develop a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, leveraging market research, networking, partnerships, and industry intelligence.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to craft tailored solutions that meet client requirements.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to generate leads and strengthen brand visibility.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of B2B business development or sales experience, ideally in fintech, payments, PSPs, cross-border solutions, or merchant acquiring.
- Existing network of mid-sized and enterprise merchants, especially across e-commerce, gaming, social media, and AI/technology sectors.
- Proven track record of hunting and closing new accounts, with measurable achievement against revenue or acquisition targets.
- Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of payment flows, acquiring models, and cross-border settlement infrastructure.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin (written and verbal).
- Willingness to travel based on business requirements.
