Job Purpose
This role supports the Group's strategic pivot toward sustainable land transport by developing, executing, and managing commercial and technical strategies in the e-mobility sector. The focus is on building a commercially viable and scalable energy business through electrification, energy optimization and energy market participation leveraging on energy cost optimization, smart charging technologies, and new business models (e.g., B2C, B2B2C, fleet, and subscription models).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead energy management strategies including regulated tariffs, time-of-use plans, and energy hedging to enhance gross margins and operational cost efficiency.
- Develop and manage commercial strategies for EV charging (pricing, bundling, subscription, fleet management).
- Build financial models to assess project viability and support investment decisions; monitor KPIs related to charger utilization, energy cost, and revenue per site.
- Oversee the deployment and integration of smart energy systems (e.g., load balancing, V2G, dynamic pricing) into the EV charging network.
- Work cross-functionally with site acquisition, operations, regulatory, and data analytics teams to drive profitability and scalability.
- Cultivate partnerships with energy retailers, property owners, OEMs, and peer operators to strengthen CDG's e-mobility ecosystem.
- Prepare management reports and strategic papers for senior leadership and investment committees.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Finance, or Business. Master's/CFA/MBA preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in energy management, mobility solutions, corporate strategy, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to drive financial sustainability in an operational business context.
- Strong experience in EV charging, energy procurement, or electricity markets is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
