Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives across local and international markets. This role is responsible for driving revenue expansion, developing cross-border trading opportunities, and strengthening the company's position in the global metal recycling value chain.
The candidate is expected to possess strong commercial acumen, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to manage high-value client relationships and transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand market share in the metal recycling and commodity trading sector
- Identify and establish new revenue streams, including cross-border trading opportunities for ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Lead client acquisition initiatives targeting industrial clients, traders, and international buyers
- Build and manage long-term partnerships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners
- Conduct in-depth market analysis on global pricing trends, supply-demand dynamics, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making
- Lead commercial negotiations on pricing structures, contracts, and trade terms to optimize profitability and manage risk exposure
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure efficient execution of trade transactions and fulfillment processes
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance, pipeline development, and revenue targets, implementing corrective strategies where necessary
- Represent the company in international trade activities, including business meetings, industry events, and partnership negotiations
- Drive continuous improvement in business processes, sales strategies, and customer engagement models
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in international trade and commodity transactions
Requirements
- Degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in business development, commodity trading, or metal recycling industry
- Proven experience in global trading of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Strong understanding of commodity pricing, market trends, and supply chain dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-value contracts and international clients
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial decision-making skills
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams in operations, logistics, and finance
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
