Job Title: Business Development Manager - Metals Recycling Industry
Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion within the metals recycling sector. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in import and export operations, market expansion strategies, and the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities, including evaluating and establishing new branch locations. This role requires a proactive individual who is capable of developing strategic partnerships while continuously upgrading their industry knowledge and skillsets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the company's footprint in the metals recycling industry.
- Identify and secure new clients, suppliers, and strategic partners locally and internationally.
- Manage and grow import and export activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and optimizing logistics processes.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and industry trends.
- Evaluate and recommend suitable locations for business expansion, including new branch offices, warehouses, or processing facilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, buyers, and regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align operations, sales, and logistics with business growth objectives.
- Prepare business proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve revenue targets.
- Monitor competitor activities and market conditions to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Continuously enhance personal expertise by acquiring relevant industry knowledge, technical skills, and regulatory understanding related to metals recycling and international trade.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within the metals recycling, commodities, or related industries.
- Proven experience in import and export operations, including documentation, compliance, and logistics coordination.
- Strong understanding of global metals markets and recycling processes is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business expansion and identify viable locations for new branches or operations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to travel when required.
