BusinessDevelopment Manager (Hunter Role)

(M&E/ Carpentry / Builder / Interior Fit-Out)

We Are Looking for a Closer. Not an Order Taker.

If you thrive on chasing deals, opening doors, pitching boldly, and closing aggressively - this role is for you.

The ideal candidate is familiar with M&E works, carpentry, building works, or interior fit-out projects, and is confident in identifying opportunities, pitching solutions, and advising clients on costing strategies.

This role requires both strong sales capability and solid technical understanding of project execution and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Hunting

  • Proactively source and secure new business opportunities across all industries and project types
  • Build and expand relationships with developers, consultants, architects, designers, and main contractors
  • Conduct cold outreach, networking, and strategic relationship building
  • Drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets

2. Pitching & Client Engagement

  • Lead business presentations and project pitches
  • Understand client requirements and position suitable M&E / carpentry / builder solutions
  • Confidently present value propositions to decision-makers
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close contracts

3. Commercial & Costing Advisory

  • Provide preliminary costing advice and budget guidance during pre-contract stage
  • Work closely with QS and technical teams to develop competitive pricing strategies
  • Contribute to tender submissions and proposal development
  • Ensure commercially viable deals aligned with company margins

4. Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with design, project, and operations teams for smooth project handover
  • Monitor market trends, pricing benchmarks, and competitor activities

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of business development / sales experience in M&E Engineering works / Carpentry / Joinery, Builder / Interior fit-out
  • Strong understanding of project costing, tender process, and budgeting
  • Proven track record of securing projects and closing deals
  • Confident in pitching and negotiating with key stakeholders
  • Strong industry network is highly advantageous
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and resilient
