Role Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth, commercial expansion, and revenue optimisation for company-owned and leased food retail outlets. The role focuses on market development, multi-outlet performance improvement, and strategic partnerships to strengthen the company's retail presence in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities (Strategic & Professional Scope)

• Develop and execute business growth strategies for food retail operations and leased food shop portfolios.

• Identify new market opportunities, retail locations, and expansion projects through data-driven analysis.

• Lead feasibility studies, financial modelling, and commercial evaluations for new outlet investments.

• Negotiate lease terms, tenancy agreements, and commercial partnerships with landlords and stakeholders.

• Analyse sales performance, consumer trends, and financial data to improve revenue and profitability.

• Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to plan outlet expansion and commercial strategy.

• Drive process improvements, revenue optimisation, and business transformation initiatives.

• Prepare business proposals, investment papers, and performance reports for senior management.

• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape within Singapore's F&B retail sector.

• Support long-term corporate planning and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, Hospitality Management, or related discipline.

• Minimum 5-8 years professional experience in business development, commercial strategy, retail expansion, or F&B operations management.

• Proven experience in market analysis, business planning, and commercial negotiations.

• Demonstrated ability to manage projects across multiple retail locations or business units.

• Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive business decisions.

• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.

• Knowledge of Singapore retail or F&B market environment is advantageous.

Salary & Employment Terms

• Monthly Salary Range: SGD $6,500 - $9,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications).

• Work Arrangement: Office-based with site visits to multiple retail outlets.

• Employment Type: Full-time professional / managerial position.
