1. Business & Market Development
- Identify new business opportunities (public tenders, private developments, design-and-build projects).
- Research market trends, competitors, and upcoming developments.
- Develop strategies to enter new markets or sectors (residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure).
- Build and maintain a project opportunity pipeline.
2. Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Build relationships with:
- Developers Consultants (architects, engineers, QS)
- Government agencies
- Main contractors / subcontractors
- Attend meetings, site visits, networking events, and industry functions.
- Act as the main point of contact for potential and key clients.
3. Tendering & Proposal Management
- Identify suitable tenders and RFQs.
- Coordinate with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to:
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals
- Review tender documents
- Clarify client requirements
- Assist in pricing strategy and value engineering.
- Present proposals and attend tender interviews.
4. Contract Negotiation & Closing
- Support management in negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing.
- Ensure contracts align with company capability and risk appetite.
- Assist in securing letters of award and contracts.
5. Internal Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Estimation & QS teamsProject managersProcurementFinance
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to project execution.
- Provide market feedback to improve company offerings.
6. Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports.
- Track KPIs such as:
- Tender success rate
- Revenue growth
- Client retention
- Recommend business improvement initiatives to management.
7. Branding & Company Representation
- Support marketing initiatives (company profile, presentations, case studies).
- Represent the company professionally in meetings and public events.
- Strengthen company reputation and brand visibility.
8. Skills & Experience Required
- Strong understanding of construction processes and contracts
- Knowledge of local tendering procedures (e.g., government & private sector)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and BOQs
- Networking and relationship-building skills
- Bonus points for candidates who area graduates from the same interior / architecture industry
