Job Description

1. Business & Market Development

  • Identify new business opportunities (public tenders, private developments, design-and-build projects).
  • Research market trends, competitors, and upcoming developments.
  • Develop strategies to enter new markets or sectors (residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure).
  • Build and maintain a project opportunity pipeline.

2. Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Build relationships with:
  • Developers Consultants (architects, engineers, QS)
  • Government agencies
  • Main contractors / subcontractors
  • Attend meetings, site visits, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for potential and key clients.

3. Tendering & Proposal Management

  • Identify suitable tenders and RFQs.
  • Coordinate with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to:
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals
  • Review tender documents
  • Clarify client requirements
  • Assist in pricing strategy and value engineering.
  • Present proposals and attend tender interviews.

4. Contract Negotiation & Closing

  • Support management in negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing.
  • Ensure contracts align with company capability and risk appetite.
  • Assist in securing letters of award and contracts.

5. Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with:
  • Estimation & QS teamsProject managersProcurementFinance
  • Ensure smooth handover from sales to project execution.
  • Provide market feedback to improve company offerings.

6. Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports.
  • Track KPIs such as:
  • Tender success rate
  • Revenue growth
  • Client retention
  • Recommend business improvement initiatives to management.

7. Branding & Company Representation

  • Support marketing initiatives (company profile, presentations, case studies).
  • Represent the company professionally in meetings and public events.
  • Strengthen company reputation and brand visibility.

8. Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong understanding of construction processes and contracts
  • Knowledge of local tendering procedures (e.g., government & private sector)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, and BOQs
  • Networking and relationship-building skills
  • Bonus points for candidates who area graduates from the same interior / architecture industry
