Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth in the Singapore and Southeast Asia markets by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting our project logistics services. This role requires a proactive, results-driven professional with deep knowledge of project freight forwarding and the ability to develop strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Development:
. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in project logistics within Singapore and the
wider Southeast Asia region.
. Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs.
2. Client Relationship Management:
. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries (oil & gas,
energy, EPC contractors, heavy industry).
. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
3. Sales & Revenue Growth:
. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
. Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and tenders for project logistics
solutions.
4. Collaboration & Coordination:
. Work closely with operations and project teams to ensure seamless execution of client
requirements.
. Coordinate with global offices to leverage the company's network and capabilities.
5. Reporting & Analysis:
. Track and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights.
. Provide regular updates to management on progress toward targets.
Qualifications & Skills:
. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
. Minimum 5 years of experience in business development within project freight forwarding or
heavy-lift logistics.
. Proven track record of securing and managing large-scale logistics projects.
. Strong understanding of project cargo, heavy-lift transportation, and international shipping
regulations.
. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
. Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
. Proficiency in English Mandarin language skills are an advantage.
