Job Description

The Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for the logistics services offered by the company. This role is responsible for expanding the company's customer base, strengthening strategic accounts, and contributing directly to overall profitability.

Business Development & Sales Growth

. Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities aligned with company objectives.

. Proactively develop and manage a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.

. Follow up on leads and convert opportunities into profitable business.

. Monitor and analyze market trends to identify emerging opportunities.

. Deliver individual sales targets aligned with overall company goals.

. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts.

Customer Relationship Management

. Participate in CRM initiatives to enhance customer retention and growth.

. Personally manage a portfolio of strategic and high-value customers.

. Grow revenue, margin, and retention within assigned accounts.

. Act as the first escalation point of contact for local accounts.

. Lead major customer engagements, including RFQs and contract negotiations.

Collaboration & Commercial Excellence

. Partner with Commercial and Operations teams to ensure service excellence.

. Ensure disciplined pipeline management using CRM systems.

. Act as a role model for best-practice sales behaviors and commercial discipline.

. Contribute to overall company profitability through strategic account management.

Requirements

  • Possess Tertiary qualifications.
  • Experience in logistics and Freight Forwarding.
  • Experience in business development in logistics/freight forwarding.
  • Possess 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Possess commercial acumen.
  • Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to make impactful presentations.
  • Negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  • Driven individual
