Business Development Manager
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base. In this strategic role, you will utilise your strong network in the marine sector,identify and secure new business opportunities, develop and execute sales strategies, and build long-term relationships with prospective clients to support the company's growth in a competitive market.
Job Responsibilities:
- A strong nose for business and able to smell opportunities and successfully convert them to support exciting targets.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies, marketing plans, and promotional campaigns.
- Form and sustain solid client relationships.
- Spot new opportunities and customers needs through market research and industry trends.
- Present effective sales pitches and proposals to potential clients.
- Maintain a structured and up-to-date pipeline of leads, prospects, and opportunities.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to present the company's services and increase visibility in the market.
- Collaborate with senior management and internal teams to ensure seamless handover of new agreements to key account and vessel account management teams.
- Contribute to the development of the company's service offerings through market insights and client feedback.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in senior business development or sales roles, with strong existing network in the marine sector.
- Demonstrated success in driving new business and closing deals with a strong hunter mindset in seeking out new opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; comfortable engaging directly with clients.
- Experience in the shipping, supply chain, or logistics industry is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to structure and manage sales pipelines and account plans effectively.
- Analytical and solution-oriented, able to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to build trusted relationships.
