About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager (China) to support our growth and market expansion in the China market. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting strategic partnerships to drive sales growth.

This position requires frequent travel within China to engage clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders while supporting the company's regional business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the China market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, partners, and corporate clients.
  • Develop market entry strategies and expansion plans for new regions and industries in China.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate and guide junior sales or business development staff as required, providing support and mentorship.
  • Provide market insights and recommendations to management regarding China operations.

2. Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Develop and expand sales opportunities with local China-based customers and partners.
  • Achieve assigned revenue targets and sales objectives.
  • Develop proposals, quotations, and partnership agreements for prospective clients.
  • Lead negotiations with business partners and clients to secure long-term collaborations.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and ensure conversion of leads into business opportunities.

3. Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Provide regular market intelligence reports to management on China market trends.
  • Recommend new product or service opportunities based on market demand.

4. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Represent the company at business meetings, trade exhibitions, and industry events.

5. Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to support business initiatives
  • Ensure smooth execution and delivery of products and services to clients.
  • Provide regular reports on business performance, pipeline status, and strategic initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, International Business, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management, preferably with China-based clients or distributors.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within China.
