Job Description

The primary responsibility for the role is to build relationships with new clients to secure recurring revenue. The person is to operate within an assigned geographical region and collaborate with any resellers. The role involves overseeing competition, daily sales activities, managing sales pipeline, managing customer accounts, meeting with clients, and promoting company solutions, products and services to the market.

Amount of travel estimated at over 50%.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the Company product portfolio to prospect clients
  • Proactively seek and grow new business opportunities
  • Guide clients on which steps to take to sign a contract
  • Ensure the company has a healthy order backlog
  • Upselling during customer communication sessions
  • Collect and promote (internally) customer and market feedback
  • Assist customers with finding the best person to address their problems in a timely manner
  • Monitor tenders, RFPs etc. Manage and take ownership of the submission
  • Oversee the region sales opportunities
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting including per account (for major clients) approach plans
  • Monitor market (customers and competitors) activity and provide feedback to company leadership team
  • Frequent client-facing travel
  • Based uponcompany overall strategy create tactics and strategies for developing business to achieve the set sales goals

Reporting:

  • Monitor the CRM records in the assigned region and ensure there is a plan and actions taken against every sales opportunity
  • Report on sales plans and activities

Marketing:

  • Take part in local and international events as a participant, attendee, delegate or presenter

Knowledge & experience required:

  • Maritime industry experience (preferable)
  • At least 3 years previous experience in Sales/Account Management roles
  • At least a year previous experience in SAAS
  • Fluent in English, both and written (must)
  • Knowledge of MS Office (essential) and CRM applications
  • Ability and willingness to travel (domestic and international)
  • Presentation/public speaking skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Autonomous to fulfil tasks
  • Open to new technology and environment that is in a constant change
