Business Development Manager - Asia
The Business Development Manager for the Asia Region will be responsible for identifying opportunities for new claims programs and nominations, ensuring their effective setup and day-to-day management, developing client relationships, and driving commercial development initiatives across the Asia region.
The BD Manager will Identify opportunities for new claims programs/nominations and helping with effective management of the setup and ongoing operation.
Principle interaction will be with Clients in Asia, Adjusting teams, Insurers and Brokers
Key Accountabilities
- Research and identify potential opportunities for new claims programs and nominations.
- Analyze market trends, claims data and client needs to propose new initiatives and recommendations including sector specific alignment.
- Champion the use of the CRM system within the region, driving activity and ensuring full capture of activity
- Manage regional nominations in the CRM system ensuring that an active approach is taken to renewals
- Drive client stewardship, preparing stewardship reports as required
- Assist in the setup of new claims programs, ensuring all processes and systems are in place. Manage the day-to-day operations of claims programs, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain detailed records of claims and communicate with clients to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies
- Cultivate and manage relationships with brokers and other clients to expand the McLarens client base
- Provide training and support to brokers / clients on McLarens services and drive thought leadership activity
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance client engagement and performance.
- Coordinate with clients to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Asia region.
- Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies to drive growth
Experience And Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Preferably 7 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and strong analytical skills.
- Experience in managing broker/client relationships and developing strategic partnerships
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and training skills.
- Proven track record in business development, with experience in market research and sales strategy implementation.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, brokers, and internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex claims and business development challenges.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a dynamic business environment
