Business Development Manager

Location : Singapore
Reporting To : Country Manager, Singapore

Role Overview

1CloudHub is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with deep tech & cloud industry expertise to drive new business and strategic account growth across Singapore. The role focuses on selling cloud, data, and digital transformation solutions to enterprise and mid-market customers, owning the full sales cycle and shaping multi-year cloud adoption and modernization journeys in close partnership with the country sales leadership. As a BDM at 1CloudHub, you will embody our vision as the Thought to Outcome Accelerator. Your mandate is to acquire, grow, and retain strategic accounts, converting initial engagements into high-margin, recurring subscriptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle for cloud-focused opportunities: prospecting, qualification, discovery, solution positioning, proposals, negotiation, and closure.
  • Develop and execute account and territory plans to drive new logo acquisition and expansion across cloud migration, modernization, data/AI, and managed cloud services.
  • Build and deepen senior relationships with CXOs, and business leaders, positioning 1CloudHub as a strategic cloud transformation partner.
  • Identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing cloud customers in collaboration with Technical Account Managers, solution architects, and delivery leaders. Build multi-threaded relationships that elevate 1CloudHub as a strategic transformation partner.
  • Work closely with cloud solution architects and delivery teams to design credible architectures, proposals, SoWs, and commercials aligned to customer outcomes and profitability. Conduct valuebased discovery, quantify ROI using specific business metrics, and prove value via an Recurring Revenue Bridge (assessment/pilot) to qualify for full subscription deployment. Craft compelling business cases, proposals, and commercials aligned to customer outcomes and healthy margins.
  • Maintain a robust, cloud-centric opportunity pipeline with rigorous qualification and timely CRM updates.
  • Maintain high CRM hygiene, rigorous forecasting, and pipeline discipline (coverage, velocity, conversion) and provide regular deal reviews and forecasts to the sales lead, including insights on cloud market trends, competition, and partner plays.
  • Represent 1CloudHub at cloud ecosystem events, vendor/partner forums (e.g., hyperscalers), and customer workshops to build brand visibility and generate demand.
  • Collaborate with AWS partner teams and the broader ecosystem to create demand and accelerate deals.

Performance Metrics

  • Revenue achievement and forecast accuracy.
  • New cloud ACV/TCV closed vs. quota (projects, managed services, and cloud/Gen AI based offerings).
  • New logo acquisition and expansion revenue across accounts.
  • Pipeline quality, coverage, velocity and conversion for opportunities and Revenue Velocity.
  • Gross Margin, Deal profitability and alignment with strategic offerings.
  • Net Revenue Retention & Expansion.
  • Forecast accuracy and CRM hygiene.
  • Customer outcome, satisfaction, and strategic depth of engagements.
  • Sales governance and CRM hygiene.

Key Competencies & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B sales / business development experience in the cloud industry (cloud consulting/integration, managed services, hyperscalers, or SaaS), with a strong enterprise focus and consistent overachievement of revenue targets.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms and concepts (cloud sales, migration, modernization, containers, serverless, DevOps, data platforms, security, FinOps), with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value for customers.
  • Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder cloud deals (e.g., migration programs, managed services, data/AI initiatives) and driving new logo acquisition.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, capable of engaging and influencing C-level and senior IT/business stakeholders, as well as hyperscalers and ecosystem partners, to position 1CloudHub as a strategic cloud transformation partner.
  • High commercial and financial acumen skilled at structuring deals, pricing models, and commercial constructs that balance customer outcomes with healthy margins and risk management.
  • Advanced consultative selling capabilities-leads discovery, asks incisive questions, uncovers explicit and latent needs, and crafts compelling, outcome-oriented cloud value propositions and narratives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex deal cycles and orchestrate cross-functional teams (solution architects, delivery, finance, partners) to progress opportunities, resolve blockers, and honour commitments.
  • Data-driven and disciplined in sales execution, using pipeline metrics, win/loss insights, and account health indicators to prioritize focus and continuously improve conversion rates.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with strong executive presence and the ability to tailor messaging for technical and non-technical audiences. Skilled in executive storytelling, consultative discovery, proposal creation, and commercial structuring (pricing models, risk-sharing, margin protection).
  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, startup-like environment-adaptable, resourceful, and operating with strong ownership, urgency, and a builder mindset toward processes and playbooks.
  • Resilience, integrity, and customer-centric judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) Certification or equivalent.
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner.
  • AI/ML certifications and/or proven handson exposure to GenAI solutioning.
