This internship is designed for fresh graduates or students seeking handson experience in capital markets and business development. As a Business Development Intern, you will work closely with the business development and product team to support client acquisition, market research, and sales initiatives across the region.
You will gain exposure to institutional clients, trading products, and the endtoend business development process. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, driven, and eager to learn how capital markets operate in a realworld setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Support & Strategic Analysis
- Actively track the HOSE and HNX to identify emerging sectoral trends, volatility patterns, and foreign capital flows.
- Track regulatory update, market structure changes and industry development in Vietnam.
- Prepare report and presentation to support business strategy and decision making.
2. Onshore Broker Liaison & Business Development Support
- Assist the Sales Team with client targeting, segmentation, and follow-ups for Vietnam market clients.
- Technical research from local brokers, translating key insights into concise English briefings for international stakeholders.
3. Product & Exchange Coordination
- Work with product manager on HOSE and HNX products for both equity and derivative markets.
- Assist in monitoring product performance and client usage trends.
- Support product enhancement initiatives and coordinate with internal teams for updates.
4. Administrative & Project Support
- Assist with client onboarding documentation and operational inquiries.
- Support adhoc projects related to the Vietnam market.
- Assist in organizing investor webinars and networking events focused on Equities, and Derivatives.
- Adapt complex financial reports and pitch decks (English & Vietnamese), ensuring financial nuances and industry jargon are technically accurate.
Qualifications & Skills
- Final year student or recent graduate in Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related quantitative field.
- Prior internship experience in a brokerage, fund management, or professional services firm is a significant advantage.
- Ability to communicate and write in English and Vietnamese fluently to engage with counterparties based in Vietnam, and translate financial reports.
- Basic understanding of the Vietnamese financial market structure and trading mechanisms.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AI tools.
- Proactive, resilient, and comfortable with cold outreach and networking.
- Ability to navigate the nuances of Vietnamese business etiquette when dealing with onshore partners.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding trade data and regulatory documentation.
