Klook Protect is the digital insurance technology arm of Klook, offering an innovative range of protection products uniquely designed to enhance the travel experiences of customers globally. About The Role
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven individual to execute on strategic customer engagement strategies to drive immediate and material growth for Klook's digital insurance business.
In this role, you will own specific business lines to improve on our value proposition that addresses the real needs and pain points of our customers and deliver on sales growth.
This is an exciting
result-oriented opportunity for a problem-solver with a passion for customer-centric business strategy and execution to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment in the digital and technology space that exists at an intersection with digital insurance and travel.
Key Responsibilities
Business analysis
- Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative data analysis of key areas such as traffic, conversion rates, and profitability. Identify business optimisation opportunities and present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor key metrics and provide monthly performance reports, analyze the insights on performance trends, underlying opportunities and weaknesses, and provide data-driven recommendations on next courses of action.
Business development
- Analyze, recommend and execute the growth strategy for Klook's digital insurance business based on deep understanding of customer needs and pain points.
- Own, lead and project manage various digital initiatives in its entirety from start to end, including post launch impact measurement and analysis.
- Drive data-driven decision-making and analyse business performance data (ROI, conversion rates, customer engagement) to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
- Drive alignment with internal stakeholders across functions (including senior leadership) to get buy-in and maximise internal collaboration.
- Negotiate and co-create with external insurance partners to develop, test, and launch innovative travel protection products and / or innovative go-to-market initiatives.
- Ability to take on leadership roles to drive business strategy and key growth initiatives.
Requirements
- 6 to 8 years of working experience is preferred.
- Some preferred skillsets include project management, stakeholder management, strategy, research, policy formulation, and operations. Candidates are not required to have all listed skillsets but a combination of a few would be preferred.
- Demonstrated competencies in critical thinking and ability to break down and articulate clearly and concisely complex problems to identify logical next steps.
- Good communication skills, able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners across all levels.
- Strong with producing data-driven analysis on Excel or GSheet
- Proficiency in data analytics specific technical skills, such as SQL and Python, is highly preferred, unless candidate has exceptional strong business experiences and skillsets
- A proactive individual who is willing to take initiative, push boundaries and be creative in overcoming challenges to achieve desired results.
- Embraces challenges and uncertainty - you will be a member of a team that aims to trailblaze and push boundaries in the highly regulated insurance industry.
- A champion of the team's key values - collaborative and open to feedback, experimentative and ready to fail, customer-focused and always asking what is best for the customer.
- Proficiency in English. Additional proficiency in Mandarin or another second language is a bonus not required (helps us gain perspective and understanding of our global customer base).
