Position Summary
The Director, Growth & Business Development - ASEAN will be responsible for driving new market entry, accelerating strategic growth, and expanding existing client partnerships across the ASEAN region. This role is both strategic and hands-on, focused on identifying high-potential opportunities, cultivating C-level relationships, and building a scalable business development approach across Propelis full spectrum of services.
You will act as the market growth catalyst-bridging creative, digital, print, and technology capabilities to unlock value for new and existing clients, with a focus on long-term commercial success and market fit.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Market Development
- Lead market business development strategy across ASEAN, aligned with Propelis brand and packaging ecosystem and the Global Growth strategies.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities through research, data analysis, and industry insights.
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of strategic prospects, balancing near-term wins with long-term growth bets.
- Create and execute go-to-market strategies for new verticals and markets in ASEAN.
New Business Generation
- Secure new client partnerships by identifying strategic fits, influencing stakeholders, and leading deal negotiation.
- Craft compelling, insight-led proposals and RFP responses that reflect client challenges and Propelis integrated value proposition.
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract close, onboarding, and handoff.
Organic Growth & Account Expansion
- Partner with internal client and delivery teams to identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
- Participate in Strategic Account Planning (SAP) sessions and co-develop growth roadmaps for priority clients.
- Support cross-sell and up-sell efforts by aligning internal teams to deliver a consistent and scalable offering.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the connective tissue between business development, creative, technology, and delivery teams to ensure offerings are market-aligned.
- Translate market and client feedback into actionable insights to evolve service offerings and go-to-market tactics.
Sales Performance & Leadership
- Own annual revenue targets for new and incremental business in the ASEAN region.
- Build business cases and models that support pricing, margin improvement, and long-term profitability.
- Report regularly on pipeline health, sales forecasts, and commercial KPIs to executive leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive B2B business development experience, preferably in creative services, marketing, packaging, or related industries.
- Proven track record of securing mid-to-large enterprise accounts and growing commercial partnerships in ASEAN.
- Strong understanding of brand, packaging, design, marketing production, and digital transformation ecosystems.
- Adept at navigating complex sales cycles and managing stakeholder expectations at C-suite level.
- Financial fluency in sales forecasting, margin analysis, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, travel regionally as required, and collaborate in a matrixed, global environment.
