About TransAsia Group

TransAsia is a private credit asset manager based in Singapore and Hong Kong. It is currently incubating Capata - a wholly owned next-generation B2B trade financing and payments platform built to help SMEs, suppliers, and distributors unlock cash flow, accelerate payments, and scale with confidence. Capata partners with procurement platforms, distributors, foodservice suppliers, and B2B merchants to deliver fast, flexible, and technology-driven financing solutions at scale.

With TransAsia's expertise in insititutional-level private credit expertise, and its deep fintech operating experience from incubating one of Australia's largest B2B fintech platforms - this gives the candidate a rare platform to learn and contribute towards scaling modern financing infrastructure across Southeast Asia.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Business Development Executive to help spearhead Capata's commercial expansion.

This role is perfect for early-career talent who are hungry to learn, excited by fintech, and energized by helping SMEs solve real cash-flow challenges.

You will work directly with the founders and the commercial leadership team, gaining hands-on exposure to fintech sales, partnerships, underwriting workflows, and B2B trade flows.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Pipeline Building

. Identify and source SMEs, suppliers, wholesalers, and B2B platforms that would benefit from Capata's financing solutions.

. Develop outbound strategies across calls, email outreach, LinkedIn, events, and industry channels.

. Maintain a healthy pipeline and ensure accurate CRM tracking.

2. Sales Execution & Merchant Activation

. Conduct discovery calls to understand customer operations, trade flows, and financing needs.

. Pitch and communicate Capata's financing solutions clearly and confidently.

. Support end-to-end sales cycles alongside senior BD team members.

. Coordinate with onboarding, underwriting, and operations to ensure smooth merchant activation.

3. Relationship Building

. Build strong long-term relationships with suppliers, distributors, and procurement platforms.

. Understand merchant workflows deeply and identify upsell opportunities.

. Serve as a trusted point of contact for SMEs navigating financing and payment solutions.

4. Market Intelligence & Product Feedback

. Gather insights from the ground (merchant behaviour, credit demand patterns, industry conditions).

. Identify gaps and opportunities in product experiences, processes, and pricing.

. Work closely with product and operations teams to improve customer journeys and conversion rates.

5. Events, Partnerships & Field Activities

. Attend merchant visits, platform activations, trade fairs, and industry events.

. Support partnership development with marketplaces, procurement tools, and ecosystem players.

. Represent Capata professionally and articulate our value proposition confidently.

Who We're Looking For

Experience & Background

. 0-3 years of experience in BD, sales, partnerships, account management, or SME-facing roles

. Fresh graduates welcome

. Background or interest in fintech, SaaS, lending, supply chain, or payments is a plus

Skills & Traits

. Strong communication skills confident speaking with SME owners

. Persistent, target-driven mindset

. Comfortable with outbound work - calls, visits, demos

. Curious, proactive, and willing to learn

. Able to manage your own time, pipeline, and follow-ups

. Good at simplifying concepts and explaining financing clearly

. Enjoys building relationships and solving customer problems
