Job Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Executive, your mandate will be to support the Firm and its Partners in building strong client relationships and in the acquisition of work. You will work closely with the Firm's Partners and a team of professionals responsible for the Firm's business development activities, and will report into the Business Development Manager and the Regional Head of Business Development and Marketing.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the firm's corporate and business efforts. This includes strategic business development and client intelligence initiatives.
  • Facilitate and implement firm initiatives, supporting various corporate activities and campaigns across the firm.
  • Engage directly with corporate clients and internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional services and relationship management.
  • Pitching - Prepare corporate pitches and capability statements in English, in line with firm guidelines. Working with local office teams, maintain a suite of local capability and pitch materials that are easily accessible and that are in line with the house style.
  • Database Management - Work with the office teams to implement local corporate and funds deal capture processes and ensure that fee earners enter relevant deal information in the firm's deal and matter database. Maintain CVs for fee earners in the corporate practice group, working where necessary with local office teams. Ensuring the corporate practice group client distribution lists are established and maintained in the CRM system, InterAction
  • Business Planning - Work with the leaders of the various practice to develop annual business plans for Malaysia and the region.
  • Strategic initiatives - Implement firm wide strategic marketing initiatives in Asia, including the firm's client program. Support and advise partners in all relationship management and business development efforts, including providing support for pitches and client feedback initiatives
  • Other - Handle any other duties and responsibilities as identified from time to time by the managing Partner/ Partner in charge. There will be opportunities to be involved in regional marketing initiatives working with the wider A&G Asia Team.

Job Requirements:

  • Proactive approach with excellent business development skills.
  • Confidence in interacting with clients, partners, and business services teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. Proficiency in English language skills (both written and verbal skills to communicate with our clients and writing proposals).
  • Understanding and being able to converse in Bahasa Indonesia / Mandarin will be useful when meeting with Indonesian / Chinese clients.
  • Multi-tasking in fast-paced environments. Positive, proactive attitude, with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Strategic and creative problem-solving. A sound understanding of professional marketing approaches and new business issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong consultative selling skills. Good leadership skills when developing team members.
  • 2 - 4 years working experience, with experience in professional services organisation a plus.
  • Bright and energetic fresh graduates will be considered.
