Business Development Consultant (Recruitment Services)

  • Pure New Client Acquisition Role | Work From Home

Role Overview

  • This is a pure business development (hunter) role focused entirely on new client acquisition and revenue generation within the recruitment industry.
  • You will be responsible for generating new corporate accounts, driving sales growth, and closing deals. Recruitment delivery and candidate management will be handled by internal recruitment consultants.
  • This is not an account servicing or recruitment execution role.
  • This is a remote work-from-home position, requiring strong self-discipline, high activity levels, and results-driven performance.

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & New Business Development

  • Identify, approach, and acquire new corporate clients through cold calling, emailing, networking, and referrals
  • Build and manage your own sales pipeline from scratch
  • Generate consistent new business opportunities across assigned industries and markets
  • Conduct high-volume outbound sales activities (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, networking)
  • Full Sales Cycle Ownership
  • Own the full sales process from prospecting to pitching, negotiation, and closing
  • Prepare and present recruitment service proposals and pricing
  • Negotiate terms and secure signed agreements with clients
  • Close deals independently and consistently achieve revenue targets

Account Growth (Secondary Focus)

  • Maintain relationships with newly acquired clients
  • Identify upselling opportunities within existing accounts
  • Expand hiring requirements from initial engagements
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, opportunities, and deal stages
  • Track sales activity, conversion rates, and pipeline progression
  • Provide regular updates on business development performance

Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with internal recruitment delivery team to ensure client requirements are fulfilled after deal closure
  • Ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery function
  • Consistent generation of new client opportunities
  • Active outbound outreach on a daily basis
  • Ability to convert leads into signed clients
  • Strong pipeline management and follow-through discipline
  • Revenue contribution based on individual performance

Key Traits Required

  • Strong hunter mentality with high resilience in cold outreach environments
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
  • Target-driven, competitive, and results-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable handling rejection and high-volume sales activity
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently in a remote setup
  • Strong ability to identify business opportunities and close deals

Entry Requirements

  • Experience in sales, business development, or B2B client acquisition preferred (recruitment experience not required)
  • Diploma or Degree in any discipline (business, marketing, or sales preferred)
  • Strong interest in revenue generation and client acquisition roles
  • CEI certification or willingness to obtain it
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM and digital tools

  • CRM system for pipeline tracking and reporting
