Role Overview:
The Business Development Executive will support the company's growth in Singapore by assisting in client acquisition, relationship management, and market development across High-Net-Worth (HNW), Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW), and retail segments.
This role primarily focuses on sales execution, client servicing, and pipeline development, while working closely with the Country Manager and internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
Please note that this role is open to candidates who are currently authorized to work in Singapore. We are unable to provide visa or work pass sponsorship at this time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage prospective clients across HNW/UHNW individuals, institutions, and retail segments in the Singapore market.
- Support business development efforts through lead generation, outreach, follow-ups, and relationship nurturing.
- Assist in managing the sales cycle, including coordinating client meetings, preparing proposals, and supporting deal execution.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure high service standards and long-term relationship development.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and compliance teams to facilitate smooth client onboarding and transaction processes.
- Support the Country Manager in executing sales initiatives, partnership engagement, and client-related activities.
- Gather market feedback and share insights on client needs, competitor activity, and market trends.
- Represent the company at selected networking events and client meetings to build brand awareness and expand professional networks.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, pipeline activity, and sales progress in internal systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles, preferably within financial services, wealth management, commodities, or related sectors.
- Basic understanding of the Singapore financial services landscape and exposure to HNW/UHNW or retail client segments is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a willingness to learn and grow in a sales-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key KPIs / Performance Metrics
1. Client Acquisition & Pipeline Development
- Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects through outreach and networking.
- Support the onboarding of new clients in line with internal compliance requirements.
- Contribute to achieving annual new client acquisition targets set by management.
2. Revenue Contribution
- Contribute to team trade volume and revenue targets through client acquisition and account management.
- Support cross-selling and repeat transactions within the existing client base.
3. Partnerships & Market Engagement
- Assist in identifying and nurturing potential introducers and referral partners.
- Support partnership discussions and follow-up activities led by the Country Manager.
4. Marketing & Events
- Participate in client meetings, networking events, and industry engagements as assigned.
- Support the coordination of client-facing events and marketing initiatives in Singapore.
5. Client Servicing & Relationship Management
- Ensure timely follow-up on client enquiries, transactions, and documentation.
- Support smooth onboarding of new clients in coordination with operations and compliance teams.
- Conduct periodic check-ins with existing clients to maintain engagement and identify potential opportunities.
- Support repeat transactions and cross-selling initiatives within the existing client base.
- Maintain high service standards and contribute to positive client feedback and long-term relationship development.
