Job Description & Requirements
As an Executive in the Commercial Bancassurance Department, you will be responsible for business generation and business development activities that drive new client acquisition and new sales for the department. This involves providing exceptional service to referral partners and end clients, as well as collaboration on new opportunities with bank partners and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist Department Head in developing business opportunities, building propositions, crafting campaigns and updating product and benefits with bank stakeholders, from conception to rollout to performance tracking.
- Drive new clients acquisition that leads to achieving GWP and underwriting profit budget in Bancassurance department.
- Evaluate, underwrite, and quote risks for commercial classes in line with the assigned authority and Company's underwriting guidelines and treaty programme.
- Arrange for placement of facultative reinsurance for risks accepted and ensure contract certainty documentation is fulfilled.
- Identify opportunities for cross selling, upselling of insurance products including creating and driving campaigns.
- Service clients referred by UOB channels and ensure their requirements are met promptly.
- Perform administrative and operational duties, which includes preparing management reports, budgetary monitoring and collection of premium.
- Undertake any other assignments as allocated by Division Head, Strategy and Transformation Office or CEO's office to contribute to the overall corporate objectives.
Requirements
- Minimally Diploma in any discipline
- Possess Certificate in General Insurance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to put customers at the core of the business
- Ability to work well in a team
- Knowledge of Mandarin is preferred so as to service mandarin-speaking clients
