XING DA FOODSTUFF (S) PTE. LTD. specializes in sourcing, trading, and distributing high-quality fruits and vegetables across Southeast Asia and Greater China. As we continue to expand our regional footprint, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager (Agriculture) to lead our market development efforts in Malaysia, China and locally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute market entry and growth strategies in Malaysia, China and local market for fresh produce trading and distribution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including farm owners, packing houses, importers, distributors, wholesale markets, and regulatory agencies.
- Identify and onboard reliable suppliers and partners across the region to strengthen the company's supply chain.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and risks.
- Work closely with internal teams (procurement, logistics, finance, and marketing) to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and brand presence in assigned markets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export and food safety regulations in both countries.
Requirements
- Major study in Business, International Trade, Agriculture global trade, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in agribusiness, fresh produce trading, or regional wholesale distribution.
- Strong network within the fresh produce industry in Malaysia and/or China is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in market expansion, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and cross-cultural communication and social skills.
- Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
