We are seeking a highly dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to join our team. This leadership role will be instrumental in driving the company's strategic initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, building long-term partnerships, and spearheading talent development. The role requires a unique blend of strategic vision, operational oversight, training leadership, and market development to support the company's five-year growth plan in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Formulate and implement strategic business plans to expand the company's presence in the beauty and wellness industry.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and sales channels to drive sustainable revenue growth.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with beauty product suppliers, partners, and premium clients.
Training, Operations & Local Talent Development
- Lead the standardisation of service processes to ensure consistent service quality across all outlets.
- Conduct systematic training programs in Singapore and China to enhance staff technical skills, customer service standards, and sales techniques.
- Guide and mentor local employees to improve their competencies, support long-term career development, and prepare them for future leadership roles.
- Oversee daily operational quality control and service delivery to ensure efficiency and high performance.
- Support the company's local expansion plan in Singapore by facilitating the recruitment, training, and upskilling of local employees, thereby promoting local employment and team building.
Strategic Partnerships with IP Owners
- Build and maintain partnerships with regional IP owners to explore licensing and collaboration opportunities.
- Lead negotiations and structure partnership agreements to enhance brand value and expand new revenue streams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop innovative products and services based on IP collaborations.
Brand Building, Marketing & Social Media Promotion
- Take full responsibility for digital and social media marketing strategies to strengthen brand influence and customer engagement.
- Plan and execute cross-platform content marketing campaigns (WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
- Lead brand promotion and positioning initiatives to support business growth and the expansion of new outlets.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 15 years of relevant industry experience, with proven management and operational experience in beauty salons, wellness centers, or scalp care centers. A strong track record in business development is required. In-depth knowledge of Chinese herbal hair care products will be considered an advantage.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, overseas partners, and internal teams.
- Management & Operations: At least 10 years of managerial experience, having led teams of no fewer than 5 staff members.
- Sales & Business Development: Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets, with at least 5 years of direct sales or business expansion experience.
- Leadership & Training: Strong leadership and training capabilities, with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop employees, particularly focusing on local talent development and succession planning.
- Willingness to Travel: Must be open to frequent overseas business trips for training, partnership development, and operational support.
- Education: Minimum Diploma qualification required.
