Business Development Associate – Gold Mining
Location: Singapore
Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Associate to support the expansion of our international gold mining portfolio. This role bridges technical geology/mining expertise with strategic business development, focusing on identifying, evaluating, and advancing greenfield gold projects from early-stage exploration through development readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Project Evaluation & Development
- Identify and assess greenfield gold opportunities through geological analysis and industry networks
- Review exploration data, resource estimates (JORC), and technical reports
- Support exploration programs, scoping studies, PFS/FS, and technical due diligence
- Assist in permitting strategy and regulatory coordination across jurisdictions
- Prepare technical and commercial materials for investment decisions and capital raising
Strategic Growth & Partnerships
- Source and evaluate acquisition, JV, and partnership opportunities in the gold sector
- Conduct market research, project valuation, and benchmarking analysis
- Support deal structuring, negotiations, and investment memoranda preparation
- Build relationships with investors, government bodies, and industry stakeholders
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and cross-border engagements
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in gold exploration, mining project development, or mining-focused business development
- Hands-on experience evaluating greenfield mining projects
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of resource estimation, feasibility studies (PFS/FS), and mining lifecycle
- Proven ability to translate technical insights into commercial strategy
- Experience in project evaluation, valuation, or investment analysis within mining/resources
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Fluency in English,Mandarin and Chinese (spoken & written)
- Willingness to travel internationally
