About the Role

We are supporting a financial institution to look for a Data Business Analyst to support the design, implementation, and operational management of enterprise data solutions and data products. This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and technology, requiring close collaboration with stakeholders across investment, operations, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and evolving requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders and translate business needs into scalable data solutions
• Partner closely with business users, data engineers, and external data vendors to deliver and support enterprise data platforms and products
• Drive end-to-end business analysis activities across data initiatives, including solution design, documentation, testing, and implementation
• Design and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies for system and data enhancements
• Manage operational support activities for data products, including incident resolution, data monitoring, and user advisory support
• Establish and improve scalable data operations processes across the full data lifecycle, from onboarding and registration to archival and decommissioning
• Define and monitor data quality metrics to ensure accuracy, integrity, and reliability of market and enterprise data
• Analyse operational performance metrics such as SLAs, delivery quality, customer satisfaction, and process efficiency to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and data providers to support current and future business needs
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members where required

Requirements

• Degree from a recognised university with at least 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, data management, or data analytics within financial services, asset management, or enterprise data environments
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and/or Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data platforms, data warehousing, and data management tools such as Oracle, Snowflake, Informatica, or Denodo
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau
• Exposure to Excel formulas/macros and/or Python scripting would be advantageous
• Good understanding of data governance, data quality, and enterprise data management principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage complex data and business challenges
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams effectively
• Self-driven, proactive, and motivated to continuously improve operational processes and data quality standards
