Position Purpose
To provide leadership,coaching, consulting and support Business Manager's direction to their assigned restaurants, in order to maximise the long-term sales and profit potential of each restaurant. Builds a positive business relationship with Restaurant Managers and Restaurant Leadership Team. Key customers include Restaurant Management, Business Manager and customers.
Principal Accountabilities
In addition to following McDonald's policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
People
- Demonstrates and reinforces behaviors and basic people minimums necessary to gain commitment from Crew, Shift Managers and Restaurant Leadership Team to delivering Excellent QSC standards
- Interviews, conducts OJEs and trains restaurateurs based on profit center needs and goals
- Supports,coaches and consults to ensure that all assigned restaurants are adequatelystaffed to maximize sales potential, operational efficiency and turnover amongall restaurant employees is reduced
- Knows,enforces, educates and consults with all restaurant employees on all appropriate HR policies, labour laws, security and safety procedures
- Supports,coaches, consults, develops and recognises the results of all levels of restaurant employees
- Consults with the Restaurant leadership Team on employee commitment measurement and assist with plan to increase employee's loyalty, satisfaction and pride with the McDonald's experience
- Provide input on performance appraisals based on defined goals and objectives for each Restaurateur.Ensures that individual development plans are implemented and diversify staffing objectives are met
QSC/ Sales Building
- Protects the McDonald's brand by consulting and coaching to ensure that the restaurants meet McDonald's QSC, safety and sanitisation standards
- Supports,coaches and consults restaurant leadership teams about critical restaurant systems that produce consistently high levels of QSC
- Represents Company interest in local community and properly executes market wide promotions
- Supports,coaches and consults that there is an on-going local My Store Marketing plan for each restaurant
- Supports,coaches and coordinates implementation and execution of new products and business/training processes consistently within the restaurants
Business Results
- Consults and is accountable for creating a positive work environment while working shoulder-to-shoulder with the Business Consultants and Restaurant Management teams to create and accomplish business, in terms of QSC, Sales, People and Profits objectives
- Uses all informational resources available such as PMO, Gap Analysis and Customer Satisfaction measurement etc to identify opportunities and threats to build a business plan to optimise market potential
- Supports,coaches, consults Restaurateurs so that restaurants are appropriately staffed with competent Crew and Restaurant Managers
- Supports,coaches, consults Restaurateurs in developing and executing reinvestment plans on an annual basis to include opening new restaurants, rebuilds, remodels,equipment purchases, etc.
- Supports,consults Restaurateurs to develop, administer and control the budget for the profit center
- Supports and assists Business Manager towards achieving results on a Profit Center level versus a designed group of restaurants level. Supports, consults Restaurateurs to Impact the business of the company and Profit Center's level goals and priorities
Experience& Leadership Attributes
- Min 5 years experience in quick service restaurant operations, including multi-unit management, with deep understanding of front and back-of-house execution, food safety and brand standards
- Proven track record of coaching and leading high-performing teams to achieve operational and financial goals
- Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and build actionable plans
