Business Analyst

• Permanent position, Salary up to $7,000

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions with internal teams, customers, partners, and vendors to gather, clarify, and document project-specific business and technical requirements.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Requirements Specifications, Design Specifications, and Interface Specifications for projects.

• Identify potential design or solution challenges early in the project lifecycle and assess possible business or operational impacts.

• Collaborate closely with project managers, solution architects, developers, QA, and deployment teams throughout the solution development lifecycle.

• Ensure solutions meet customer expectations by supporting and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation activities.

• Analyse issues encountered during testing and solution deployments, recommending practical fixes and workarounds.

• Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and issues to project managers and stakeholders.

• Support stakeholder communication, change management, and post-deployment support as required.

Pre-Requisites

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably on government, automation, or security technology projects.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to ask precise questions and accurately interpret responses.

• Excellent documentation skills for requirements, design, and use case documents.

• Strong analytical abilities to quickly understand customer processes and map them to system workflows.

• Proficient in problem-solving with a methodical approach to issue resolution.

• Skilled at scoping, prioritising requirements, and evaluating the feasibility of proposed solutions.

• Reliable, adaptable, and proactive, with strong interpersonal skills.

• Experience with border control systems, biometrics, automation, or public sector IT projects is a strong advantage.
