Business Analyst

Role and Responsibilities:

Works with end users to specify requirements, create and implement designs to meet internal and client-facing objectives. Develops Information management standards and practices. Integrates diverse needs and perspectives from internal and external clients, possesses a creative mind to develop new and fresh ideas and solutions. Possesses strong leadership and communication abilities and is able to influence key stakeholders and clients he interfaces with. Holds responsibilities associated with historical data sourcing and preparation, data storage, reporting, analytics, data exploration and information delivery. Works with senior management to understand and prioritise data and information requirements. Oversees the development of testing methodology and criteria, standards, policies and procedures for the structure and attributes of the business intelligence tools and systems. Oversees budgeting and planning. Able to influence key stakeholders and spearhead a data driven approach to resolve business issues.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Degree and equivalent training (e.g. specialist diploma, professional certificate) in Business Analytics, Computer Science / Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related disciplines that possesses an analytical component.
• Have at least 6-8 years experience in project management, application development, implementing and maintaining IT systems.
• Practical experience in implementing data warehousing projects.
• Have good understanding of ETL concepts, SCD, data cleansing, and profiling.
• Have good proficiency in database programming, query optimization.
• Foundational knowledge of data visualization tools such as OBIEE, Tableau
• Have experience in implementing projects using SDLC, Agile, and SCRUM methodology
• Foundational knowledge of .Net Framework, API, and web services
• Foundational knowledge of data pipeline, data engineering and data pre-processing
• Understanding of programming language such as Python, R is good to have
• AWS certified is preferred
• Good working knowledge in Databricks and IDMC is preferred
