Business Analyst - Shopee COO Office

Job Description:

• Translate business activities and operational workflows into measurable metrics, ensuring consistent definitions and alignment across regional markets

• Prepare and deliver recurring management reports, including performance summaries, metric breakdowns, and an explanation of key drivers behind business movements

• Build, maintain, and enhance reporting infrastructure (e.g. dashboards, automated trackers), with a focus on improving efficiency and reducing manual processes through AI-enabled solutions

• Analyse large and complex datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and performance gaps, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for commercial and operational teams

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by working closely with local teams to validate inputs and standardise reporting practices

• Support senior team members in structuring analyses and synthesising findings for stakeholder discussions and decision-making forums

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to refine reporting requirements, improve data visibility, and align on key performance indicators

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing/possesses a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline at a reputable university with strong academic credentials A master's degree is advantageous but not required, expected to graduate by Jul 2026 and join us by Aug 2026

• Prior experience in strategy consulting in an in-house or consulting firm environment (internship or full-time).

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work comfortably with data and draw meaningful conclusions

• Hands-on experience with data handling and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, dashboards) familiarity with automation/AI tools is advantageous

• Ability to understand business context and translate data into clear narratives for stakeholders

• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and consistency

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and markets

• Organised and methodical, with the ability to manage recurring deliverables alongside ad-hoc analyses

• Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with evolving business needs
