Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a confident and driven Business Analyst with strong experience in regulatory trade reporting. The role focuses on analysing, documenting, and delivering precise regulatory reporting requirements for funds and portfolios across multiple jurisdictions, particularly Singapore (MAS), European jurisdictions (EMIR), Hong Kong jurisdictions (HKMIR) and related regulatory regimes.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to lead analysis workshops, clearly document specifications, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure regulatory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and define regulatory trade reporting requirements
  • Support regulatory reporting submissions for:Singapore funds and portfolios reporting to MASEuropean jurisdictions under EMIRHong Kong jurisdictions under HKMIR
  • Perform issue analysis, tuning, and bug fixing related to regulatory reporting workflows and data
  • Identify gaps between regulatory requirements and current solutions, ensuring all required fields and rules are fully met
  • Produce clear, precise documentation, including:Business requirementsFunctional specificationsField-level mappingsRegulatory rules and annotations
  • Lead and facilitate requirements workshops, walkthroughs, and stakeholder discussions
  • Work closely with technology, operations, compliance, and external vendors to drive solutions
  • Ensure regulatory outputs are accurate, complete, and defensible to regulators

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Business Analyst skill set with proven experience in: Requirements gatheringFunctional analysisClear and structured documentation
  • Solid understanding of trade regulatory reporting
  • Experience with MAS and/or EMIR regulatory reporting and/or HKMA regulatory reporting
  • Deep appreciation for precision in regulatory reporting - specifications must be explicit, rule-based, and unambiguous
  • Ability to lead workshops and confidently explain requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including dealing with senior business and regulatory stakeholders
  • Confident communicator who can clearly articulate what has been learned and applied
