Business Analyst - Payments _ Contract Role

Location: FEB Building, Singapore

Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Renewable)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Payments (Pre-Payments, Core Payments, and Post Payments processing). The role requires hands-on experience in payment product configuration, vendor coordination, and Open API integration within a banking environment. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure successful delivery of payment transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and define detailed functional specifications based on functional and non-functional requirements

• Collaborate with Business Units and IT teams to elicit, analyse, and review business requirements

• Work closely with Functional Business Analysts to clarify requirements and perform impact analysis with vendors

• Perform detailed effort estimation for projects and change requests

• Facilitate communication between vendor, project team, business stakeholders, and internal IT teams

• Conduct FDS review and write/review user stories for sign-off

• Review interface design specifications created by development teams

• Review test strategy and functional test cases prepared by QA teams

• Support project and delivery teams throughout implementation lifecycle

• Monitor and manage risks/issues related to requirements and scope creep

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline

• 10-15 years of Business Analysis experience in Banking/Financial Services

• Strong domain knowledge in:

  • Pre-Payments, Core Payments, Post Payments processing

  • Local & Interbank payments (G3, DuitNow, FPS, PromptPay, PayNow, BI Fast)

  • Cross-Border Payments (SWIFT, Bank of New York, other payment providers)

• Hands-on experience configuring payment systems from vendors such as FIS, GPP, ACI

• Strong knowledge of Open API design and integration

• Good understanding of wholesale banking channel products and user journey

• Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodology

• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
