Role Overview:
We are seeking a Business Analyst Lead to drive excellence in business analysis across complex, large-scale programmes. This role extends beyond individual contribution-you will lead a team of Business Analysts, influence solution direction, and ensure deliverables align closely with business objectives.
You will collaborate closely with Business Architects, Product Managers, and Solution Architects to translate strategic goals into implementable solutions, while guiding teams in delivering high-quality requirements, testing activities, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Analysts to uphold consistent quality and delivery standards
- Provide direction on requirements elicitation, stakeholder engagement, and documentation best practices
- Build a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture
Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Oversee requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation across multiple projects
- Ensure business requirements are accurately translated into solution designs and implementation outcomes
- Guide the team in developing user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
Project Planning & Delivery
- Drive business analysis planning across project lifecycles, ensuring clarity of scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Partner with Product Owners and Project Managers to manage backlogs, priorities, and dependencies
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all BA artefacts
Testing & Validation
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validation, and verification activities
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and functional requirements
- Define testing approaches, acceptance criteria, and quality standards
Stakeholder Management
- Engage senior stakeholders, including government clients, to align on objectives and expectations
- Facilitate workshops, discussions, and decision-making sessions
- Act as the key liaison between business and technical teams
Process Improvement & Governance
- Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and governance frameworks for business analysis
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, tools, and methodologies
- Ensure consistency in documentation, traceability, and compliance
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- At least 8 years of experience in Business Analysis, preferably within large-scale or government programmes
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring Business Analyst teams
- Strong expertise in requirements management and process modelling (e.g., BPMN), with Agile delivery experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar
