Business Analyst (Insurance)

JOB FUNCTIONS

This position is responsible for the gathering of requirements, process modeling and preparation of the requirement specifications. The jobholder will play the role of the communicator between the end-users, the solution team and vendor. The position is responsible for preparation of Functional specification, product/ system configuration setup (related to product and processing), test scenarios and integrated testing before user acceptance testing.

The position is responsible for planning, managing assigned projects or enhancements timeline and vendor management.

Responsibilities:

Impact and contribution

• Work to achieve objectives and deliver results with a short term, operational focus.
• Carry out investigation of user reported issues, formulate and agree terms of reference To establish relationships.
• To prepare user requirement specifications for the issues that requires application development resources
• To perform analyze on the system impact base on the requirement change, set-up the product/configuration change in system
• To prepare Test Plan, perform testing on the application, manage/monitor UAT to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
• To manage and plan out assigned project or enhancement timeline.
• Able to communicate and manage vendor & solution team to ensure a smooth delivery of project and enhancements on time.
• Raise data extraction requests in order to identify possible causes of the issues.
• Work with system team to produce Issue Analysis report to users and software and to recommend solutions, where applicable.

Key Requirements:

• Preferably insurance qualifications and at least 4 years in the user environment.
• A broad experience of business is required, the more varied, the better.
• Have knowledge and experience in SDLC cycle and implementation.
• Skilled in leveraging AI/ML concepts, automation and analytics tools to enhance system performance and support intelligent decision-making.
• Experience with AI-powered tools (e.g Chat GPT, Copilot, automation tools) will be advantage.
• Experience in Data migration project with exposure on data mapping, data reconciliation , data cleansing will be advantage.
• Able to get along with everyone, maintaining good relationships at all levels from senior management to junior staff.
