Business Analyst (F&B Industry)

Job Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis and Reporting

   • Collect, organize, and analyze sales, cost, and operational data from restaurant outlets.

   • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, profit margins, and operational efficiency.

   • Identify trends and provide insights to support business decision-making.

2. Operational Performance Monitoring

   • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as daily revenue, customer traffic, and average spending per customer.

   • Monitor food cost, labor cost, and operational expenses across outlets.

   • Support management in identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

3. Sales Forecasting and Inventory Optimization

   • Analyze historical sales data to forecast demand and sales trends.

   • Support procurement planning and inventory management to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.

4. Business Strategy Support

   • Provide analytical support for marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

   • Analyze product performance and profitability.

   • Support strategic planning for new outlets, menu optimization, and business expansion.

5. Data Management and System Integration

   • Consolidate and manage data from POS systems, delivery platforms, and internal financial records.

   • Develop dashboards and automated reporting tools for management.

Job Requirements

1. Education

   • Bachelor's degree or above in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields.

2. Analytical Skills

   • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.

3. Technical Skills

   • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).

   • Knowledge of Python, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau will be an advantage.

4. Industry Understanding

   • Understanding of F&B or retail operations is preferred.

   • Ability to translate data insights into practical business recommendations.

5. Personal Attributes

   • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

   • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

   • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in F&B, restaurant chains, or retail analytics.

• Experience analyzing data from food delivery platforms (GrabFood, Foodpanda, Deliveroo).

• Experience in business forecasting or financial analysis.
