Role:
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for EMS enhancements and platform transitions, ensuring alignment with overarching product and regulatory strategies.
- Develop comprehensive business specifications, including epics, initiatives, objectives, and key result in partnership with Product Managers and Product Owners.
- Conduct thorough gap analyses by building a strong understanding of current EMS functionalities and execution flows, comparing them against future-state platform capabilities.
- Translate product strategy into actionable deliverables such as user stories, process diagrams acceptance criteria, and traceable requirements documentation.
- Lead coordination efforts in implementing the new Global EMS platform, working closely with external vendors, IT teams, and control functions to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of order routing, order execution, and full trade lifecycle events within electronic trading environments.
- Leverage expertise in pre-trade compliance mechanisms-including suitability assessments, credit checks, and risk controls-to shape system requirements.
- Possess strong familiarity with financial instruments such as Equities, Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETDs), Bonds, Funds, and Structured Products, particularly within wealth management contexts.
- Drive integration initiatives using modern APIs and protocols, including FIX, for broker/market connectivity and real-time execution workflows.
- Advise on scalable integration patterns and contribute to the design of reliable, high-performance interfaces between internal systems and external partners.
Requirements:
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills-able to engage senior stakeholders, technical teams, and regulators with clarity and precision.
- Skilled at influencing without direct authority, navigating matrixed organizations, and building consensus across diverse groups.
- Minimum 7 years of business analysis experience, preferably within investment banking or capital markets, with proven exposure to trading systems.
- In-depth understanding of Execution Management Systems (EMS), front-to-back trading workflows, and wealth management operating models.
- Hands-on experience with API-driven integrations (REST, HTTPS, FIX) and system interoperability in low-latency environments.
- Strong analytical abilities with a track record of solving complex business problems through structure thinking and data-informed insight.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks affecting trading and execution (e.g., MiFID II, best execution obligations) is highly desirable.
