Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst to bridge business requirements and technical solutions for enterprise digital platforms and transformation initiatives.

The role will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, developers, and other technical teams to understand business needs, analyse existing processes, define functional requirements, support solution design, and coordinate testing and implementation.

The successful candidate should possess strong analytical and stakeholder management capabilities, together with a good understanding of system analysis and design.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions.
Analyse and document business, functional, and system requirements.
Prepare detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
Analyse existing business processes and workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Identify opportunities for process automation and digitalisation.
Work with stakeholders to validate requirements, priorities, and expected business outcomes.

Solution Design

Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical implementation.
Develop and document process flows, functional workflows, data requirements, and integration requirements.
Work closely with technical and development teams to assess the feasibility and sustainability of proposed solutions.
Support the design and implementation of enterprise platform solutions.
Prepare and maintain product documentation including Product Playbooks, Runbooks, Product Onboarding Forms, and User Guides.
Ensure proposed solutions remain aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.

Testing & Implementation

Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, scenarios, and test cases.
Coordinate and participate in UAT to validate solutions against agreed business and functional requirements.
Document defects, functional gaps, and testing outcomes.
Work with development and technical teams to resolve identified issues.
Support implementation, deployment, onboarding, and post-implementation activities.
Assist business users during solution rollout and adoption.

Continuous Improvement

Monitor platform usage, performance, and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
Analyse operational and usage data to recommend platform and process enhancements.
Evaluate new platform capabilities and features for potential business application.
Recommend improvements to existing workflows, processes, and system functionality.
Maintain business and functional documentation as solutions evolve.

Required Skills

Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience in business analysis, system analysis, system design, or enterprise application implementation.
Strong requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation capabilities.
Experience preparing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and user documentation.
Good understanding of system analysis and design principles.
Experience preparing and executing UAT plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional requirements for development and technical teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Good understanding of software development and application implementation processes.
Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams.
Ability to prepare clear product documentation, operational guides, and process documentation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required MINDEF Security Directive (MSD) CAT 1 security clearance.

Candidates should also meet at least one of the following experience requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in system analysis and design, together with Java training or certification or
Minimum 1 year of relevant system analysis and design experience supporting Java EE projects within the applicable environment.

Preferred Skills

Previous experience working with ServiceNow would be advantageous.
Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation or platform implementation initiatives.
Knowledge of Java or Java EE application environments.
Experience working with Agile or structured software development methodologies.
Exposure to application integration, workflow automation, and enterprise platforms.
