Job Description
Domain: Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) - Data Quality / Data Governance
About the Role
VionData Partners is supporting the search for an experienced Business Analyst to support the roll-out of Privacy Local Addendum Analysis & Implementation for a confidential Corporate & Investment Banking client, enabling the business to become data-driven, compliant with regulatory requirements, and aligned with enterprise data standards.
Context
There are approximately 100 Data Quality (very high / high priority) issues tagged to CIB that have been identified
Data quality issues refer to cases where data has been identified as inaccurate or incomplete - for example, a regulatory report drawing on incorrect extracted data, or one system sourcing data from another where the values do not match
A mechanism to handle such DQ issues end-to-end has been developed: the Data Quality Issue Management & Resolution (DQ IMR) mechanism. This includes logging DQ issues in a centralised single tracker/register, analysis to identify impacted parties, root cause analysis, remediation planning, execution, and issue closure.
Key Responsibilities
Support for the roll-out of the DQ IMR programme, covering:
Facilitate the roll-out of the DQ IMR operating model across CIB
Design and analyse process maps to solve the problem
Project-manage resolution of the 100 very high / high priority DQ issues
Engage senior stakeholders to secure accountability, drive prioritisation, and report progress
Document the end-to-end DQ IMR process: process maps, procedures, and standard templates from intake through closure
Train the different CIB process owners, product owners, business users, technology teams, and other relevant teams on what DQ IMR is, how to log issues, and how they are to be involved in DQ IMR.
Qualifications & Skills
At least 5 years of experience in Corporate & Investment Banking, essential to navigate the operational and organisational landscape
Understanding of CIB business, preferably across different CIB products (e.g. FX, Trade, Coverage, Lending, Commodities, Futures, Securities Services)
Experience supporting end-to-end project and change management, from scoping through gap analysis / requirements gathering, solution design, impact assessment, and implementation
Strong stakeholder management - comfortable working with Compliance, Business, Technology, and Operations teams, including senior stakeholders
Strong oral and written communication skills - able to prepare required documentation independently.
