Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst specialising in Client Onboarding and KYC to support transformation initiatives within a leading banking and financial services environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to gather, analyse, and document business requirements. The role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality delivery of regulatory and operational initiatives across client onboarding and KYC processes.

This position requires strong expertise in Private Banking operations, regulatory processes, and client lifecycle management, as well as experience working within Agile project environments.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Work closely with Product Owners and squad members to scope systems, regulations, policies, and operational processes.

  • Gather and formalise business requirements through workshops, stakeholder discussions, and process analysis.

  • Document requirements using Confluence project pages and JIRA user stories.

  • Produce detailed business process documentation including As-Is and Target workflows, use cases, and scenarios.

Testing & Implementation

  • Define and document test plans and detailed test cases, ensuring stakeholder approval.

  • Participate in and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) leading to successful sign-off.

  • Ensure successful post-go-live monitoring and issue resolution with relevant Business and IT teams.

Operational Readiness & Training

  • Update business operational procedures and documentation.

  • Ensure business readiness including user training and handover to BAU operational and IT teams.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Business, COO Office, Business Integrity & Control Functions, and IT teams.

  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues, escalating to the Product Owner when required.

Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to improve front-to-back operational efficiency and employee productivity.

  • Drive process optimisation and platform improvement initiatives.

  • Build subject matter expertise in key domains and share knowledge across the team.

Risk Management

  • Proactively identify risks and issues that could impact project delivery or operational stability.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst within Banking or Financial Services.

  • Proven experience in Client Onboarding and KYC processes.

  • Strong experience working within Private Banking environments.

  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and solution design.

Education

  • University degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related discipline.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial services technology and business processes.

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical and operational solutions.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.

  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
