Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, user stories, and test plans to support software development.
Analyse and document current and future-state business processes to support implementation, training, and continuous improvement.
Produce clear process flows,workflows, and business analysis documentation, and obtain client sign-off prior to development.
Act as the primary liaison between clients and the development team throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Design, execute, and manage test scenarios, test cases, and UAT support to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Manage change requests on a day-to-day basis, ensuring scope, timelines, and project plans remain aligned.
Challenge business assumptions and promote standardised solutions, minimising unnecessary custom development.
Ensure requirements align with company standards, policies, and solution frameworks during project definition.
Critically evaluate information from multiple stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and break down high-level requirements into clear, actionable details.
Prepare end-user documentation and support training activities to ensure successful system adoption.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to define technical solutions, balancing usability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Liaise with internal IT teams to ensure development priorities align with business needs.
Provide day-to-day Level 2 application support related to software usage.
Participate in process improvement initiatives at department or company level.
Perform other duties as assigned, appropriate to the role.
Travel to customer, supplier, or other company sites as required.
Requirements
Recognised Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology or a related discipline.
Proven experience working on project-based implementations, delivering within agreed budgets and timelines.
Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and specification writing for information systems.
Exposure to end-to-end project lifecycle, from requirements through implementation and support.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of how to translate business needs into functional and operational requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills proficiency in English is required, and Chinese is an advantage.
Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
