About the Role
We are seeking a Business Analyst to identify business needs, analyse processes, and support the development of solutions that enhance operational efficiency and align with organisational goals. This role involves stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Market Analysis
- Conduct research on market trends, competitor landscape, and user behaviour
- Identify problem areas, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Evaluate existing solutions and recommend enhancements
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Engage stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and discussions to gather requirements
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure requirements are aligned with business objectives and measurable outcomes
Performance Metrics & Insights
- Define KPIs and success metrics for initiatives
- Develop dashboards and reports to track performance and adoption
- Analyse results and recommend improvements post-implementation
Solution Evaluation
- Assess feasibility, impact, and dependencies of proposed solutions
- Perform cost-benefit analysis to support decision-making
- Identify risks and support mitigation planning
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams
- Participate in solution design discussions to ensure alignment with business needs
- Support testing activities, including UAT validation
Documentation & Communication
- Prepare clear documentation such as business requirements, process flows, and reports
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Communicate insights effectively using data-driven approaches
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, or process improvement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good to Have
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
- Basic understanding of APIs, data structures, and system integrations
- Experience in government, enterprise, or regulated environments
- Exposure to digital transformation or service design projects
