BUS DRIVER

A BUS Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods, packages, or passengers (depending on the organization) from one location to another. They ensure timely deliveries, maintain vehicle condition, and provide excellent service. This role may involve both local and long-distance driving.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safe Vehicle Operation

   • Drive Bus responsibly, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.

   • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness.

   • Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately.

2. Delivery & Logistics

   • Load and unload goods carefully to prevent damage.

   • Ensure packages are delivered to the correct address in a timely manner.

   • Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption.

   • Maintain delivery logs and records accurately.

3. Customer Service

   • Interact professionally with clients, providing courteous and helpful service.

   • Obtain signatures or proof of delivery where required.

   • Handle customer queries or concerns appropriately and escalate when necessary.

4. Vehicle Maintenance & Documentation

   • Keep the van clean and in good condition.

   • Conduct basic vehicle maintenance such as checking oil, tires, and lights.

   • Maintain records of mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance.

5. Compliance & Safety

   • Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements, including load limits and driving hours.

   • Follow health and safety standards, including lifting techniques and handling hazardous materials (if applicable).

Skills & Qualities Required

Valid driving license for the bus category.

Good knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic rules.

Time management and organizational skills.

Physical stamina for loading/unloading goods.

Reliability, responsibility, and attention to detail.
