BUILDING ELECTRICIAN

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting, power distribution systems, and control systems in buildings.

Inspect electrical components, such as circuit breakers, transformers, and wiring, to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair.

Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform corrective actions.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.

Ensure all electrical installations comply with local codes and safety standards.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.

Perform preventive maintenance and keep maintenance records.

Support other trades (mechanical, plumbing, etc.) in construction or renovation projects.

Respond promptly to breakdowns and electrical emergencies.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe condition.
