Building Electrician

Duties & Responsibilities for Senior building electrician 1.Installing and maintaining, repairing building electrical& mechanical distribution systems
2.Monitor the operations and make customer approved adjustments of chilled water systems, heat exchangers, HVAC, electrical systems, emergency back-up systems, hot water systems, pumps, valves, filters and other mechanical and electrical equipment

3. Installing outlets, disconnects, motor starters, inside and outside lighting systems, frequency drives, building safety equipment, fans, pumps, and motors, and other electrical-related systems, fire alarm systems

4.Maintain and repair the mechanical, electrical, security and fire protection systems that protect and support business critical information systems (servers, mainframes, etc)

5.A working understanding of commercial three phase electrical systems

6.Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble a variety of electrical items, controls and equipment following established procedures

7. Diagnose and correct malfunctions in interior and exterior electrical circuits

8.Test electrical equipment to identify and fix malfunctions

9.Assist with job site and general safety, including general ground support, staging materials, and general site preparation and clean-up.

10.Ensure that all equipment stays in line with electrical codes, regulations, and standards
11.Carry out minor electrical maintenance work, such as repair or replacement of fixtures, including wall switches and outlets, ballast, incandescent and fluorescent tubes and bulbs, fuses, sockets, etc., by applying the right tools.
12.Order for replacement of equipment parts as required, perform repairs as ordered, and keep record of servicing on equipment

Requirements:

Diploma/Or 2 years of experience in maintenance/repair or related field or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

1. Two (2) years of HVAC experience preferably working with chilled water systems, or a combination of training and work experience.

2. Proficient in providing Building Services technical advice.

3. Familiar with HVAC and building codes and standards

4. Extensive experience working across a variety of building projects associated to industrial, commercial.
