BUILDING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER

Job Summary

Support construction projects by coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and compliance with design specifications during the construction stage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Professional Engineers (PE) to manage construction stage temporary works and submissions for Structural Temporary (ST) approval
• Liaise with subcontractors to order materials and coordinate precast and steelwork shop drawings for accurate fabrication
• Prepare Method of Statement (MOS) documentation for rectification works to ensure compliance and safety
• Collaborate with consultants to resolve drawing discrepancies and submit Requests for Approval (RFA) or Requests for Information (RFI) related to site work proposals
• Manage rebar suppliers by reviewing prefab cage and mesh shop drawings, ordering materials, and ensuring timely delivery to site
• Order cast-in items for precast suppliers to support construction schedules
• Coordinate with architectural and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) teams to align site construction activities
• Arrange for Civil & Structural (C&S) inspections and order concrete casting as required by site conditions
• Organize material testing by ordering samples, delivering them to laboratories, and witnessing tests to maintain quality standards
