Delivering projects within the established budgets and timelines
- Serve as primary on-site contact for coordination with HDB, contractors, tenants, and end-users.
- A&A Work for an existing government office building managed by HDB.
- Lead Resident Engineer (RE) and Registered Technical Officers (RTO) in supervision of the project to ensure compliance of drawings/ specs, approved work methods and authorities requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections alongside RE and RTO.
- Track work progress and report delays to HDB and SO Rep.
- Monitor and report Main Contractor's manpower allocation monthly to HDB.
- Manage Main Contractor's reporting on work program delays and recommend actions to HDB.
- Advise HDB and SO Rep on strategies to address delays and program revisions.
- Resolve site issues through liaison and coordination with all stakeholders (including the chairing of regular meetings) to ensure timely resolution of all site problems
- Conduct on-site joint verification of Contractor's progress payment with the relevant consultants
- Monitor acceptance and commissioning tests/inspections
- Monitor and track to ensure that material samples are selected and tested according to proper processes.
- Inspect completed works and arrange with HDB and external parties on handing over of completed works; including but not limited to, collation of documents required for handing over.
Required skills and experience
- Possess an Architectural, Civil / Structural / Electrical / Mechanical / Environmental Engineering, Building Science, Project Management, Construction Management or other construction and engineering related degree
- The degree shall be recognised either by the respective Professional Bodies in Singapore (Board of Architects or Professional Engineering Board) or BCA
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduate working experience in the building construction industry, preferably in HDB projects or 3 years of relevant post-graduate project management experience
