This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and global environment, collaborating with various brokers and team members from around the world. The team has been growing year on year, and we are seeing exciting opportunities and submissions from both new/existing territories.
What you'll do:
- Your role will involve planning work activities to achieve team objectives and meet agreed targets, ensuring flawless project management and contributing to other projects as required.
- You will review submissions to ensure comprehensive and accurate information is presented to the market, while devising placing strategies and identifying effective product layering to meet client demands and needs.
- Working with underwriters to place insurance that balances quality, coverage, and price will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will review wordings and gather market intelligence to ensure our product offer remains up to date and relevant.
- Developing strong relationships with markets and providing broking guidance and support for team members will be vital to your success. You will also respond to market and third-party queries as appropriate, while maintaining up-to-date records on the company's systems and adhering strictly to company procedures and compliance requirements for documentation and communication.
- Manages assigned projects and contributed to other projects as required.
- Provides input into team meetings to ensure appropriate information is considered.
- Reviews client documentation to ensure that information presented is sufficiently comprehensive/accurate to support the quoting process.
- Develop strong relationships with markets.
- Produces high quality and compliant market documentation ensuring appropriate authorizations are secured.
- Ensures up to date records are always maintained on the Company systems and any e-trading platform.
Who we're looking for:
- Proven experience in a similar or related role.
- Excellent knowledge of the insurance market and specific product knowledge, enabling you to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- A good understanding of regulatory and legal frameworks to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- A professional approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
- The ability to work independently, use initiative, and meet tight deadlines, showcasing your self-motivation and time management skills.
- Calm and resilient under pressure, with the ability to positively react to change and adapt quickly to new circumstances.
- Strong mediation and influencing skills, allowing you to effectively advocate for client needs and secure favorable outcomes.
- A strong understanding of business operations, enabling you to align your work with broader organizational objectives.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) to ensure a solid foundation in core skills and A levels (desirable) to demonstrate your academic achievements and dedication to continuous learning.
- Attainment of the LLMIT (Lloyd's and London Market Introductory Test), where relevant to the role, indicating your comprehensive understanding of the London insurance market.
- Working towards or having attained ACII (desirable but not crucial), showcasing your commitment to professional development and industry knowledge.
