We are seeking an experienced Brand Marketing Director to lead GNAME's global brand and marketing strategy, strengthen brand positioning, build integrated marketing capabilities, grow brand awareness and customer engagement across priority international markets, and translate business strategy into measurable brand and marketing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Brand Strategy & Positioning
. Develop and lead GNAME's global brand strategy, positioning, value proposition and brand architecture in alignment with business strategy and international growth priorities.
. Define brand narratives, messaging frameworks, tone of voice and visual direction to ensure a consistent and differentiated brand across markets and customer touchpoints.
. Advise senior management on brand strategy, market positioning, reputation and major marketing priorities.
. Establish brand governance standards across corporate, product, digital, event and employer-facing communications.
. Monitor brand health, market perception and competitive positioning and translate insights into strategic actions.
2. Integrated Marketing Strategy & Planning
. Develop annual and multi-market marketing strategies, priorities, budgets and execution roadmaps supporting customer acquisition, engagement, retention and business growth.
. Lead integrated campaigns across digital, content, social media, public relations, partnerships, events, community and other relevant channels.
. Translate business and product priorities into audience strategies, campaign propositions and go-to-market programmes.
. Build effective planning, campaign governance, agency/vendor management and performance review processes.
. Balance long-term brand building with measurable demand and commercial outcomes.
3. International Market Development & Go-to-Market
. Lead brand and marketing initiatives for priority international markets, including market-entry and growth programmes where relevant.
. Conduct market, customer, competitor and category analysis to identify growth opportunities, audience needs and positioning gaps.
. Adapt global brand and campaign strategies to local market context while maintaining overall brand consistency.
. Partner with business development, sales, product and operations teams on market launches, customer programmes and strategic partnerships.
. Build relationships with relevant industry communities, media, partners and ecosystem stakeholders to expand GNAME's visibility and credibility.
4. Digital, Content & Community Marketing
. Set the strategy for owned digital channels, social media, content, community and thought-leadership programmes.
. Develop content frameworks communicating GNAME's expertise in domain names and internet services to relevant customer and industry audiences.
. Oversee editorial calendars, campaign content, executive communications, corporate storytelling and key digital assets.
. Strengthen customer and industry engagement through communities, educational content, events and other relationship-building initiatives.
. Ensure content quality, brand consistency and appropriate review processes across external communications.
5. Marketing Performance, Analytics & Customer Insights
. Define marketing KPIs covering brand awareness, engagement, customer acquisition, conversion, campaign effectiveness and return on marketing investment.
. Use customer, market, channel and campaign data to evaluate performance and guide budget and resource allocation.
. Develop regular marketing dashboards and management reports with clear insights, risks and recommended actions.
. Strengthen customer insight and feedback mechanisms to improve positioning, messaging, campaigns and customer experience.
. Promote a test-and-learn culture and continuously improve marketing effectiveness through experimentation and performance analysis.
6. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
. Build, lead and develop the brand and marketing function, including capability planning, objective setting, performance management and talent development.
. Work closely with the CEO and senior management to align brand and marketing priorities with Company strategy.
. Partner with product, business development, sales, operations, customer service, compliance, legal, finance and HR teams to deliver integrated initiatives.
. Manage external agencies, consultants, media, creative partners and other vendors where required.
. Establish clear standards, workflows and accountability to ensure high-quality and timely marketing execution.
7. Reputation, Communications & Brand Risk Management
. Oversee corporate brand communications and support reputation management across relevant external channels.
. Develop communication approaches for significant company announcements, partnerships, product developments and industry engagement.
. Work with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure external marketing and communications are accurate, appropriate and aligned with applicable requirements.
. Identify brand and reputation risks and establish appropriate escalation, review and response mechanisms.
. Support senior leaders in external communications and thought leadership where appropriate.
Requirements
. Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Business, Brand Management or a related discipline.
. At least 12 years of progressive experience in brand, marketing or integrated communications, including substantial experience in a senior marketing leadership role.
. Demonstrated experience developing and executing brand and marketing strategy across multiple markets, including brand positioning, integrated campaigns, digital/content marketing and marketing performance.
. Experience in technology, internet, SaaS, digital platforms, e-commerce, fintech or another international digital business is highly preferred.
. Strong understanding of digital customer journeys, international marketing channels, content and community building, and data-driven marketing.
. Proven ability to partner with CEOs, senior executives and cross-functional leaders and translate business strategy into practical brand and marketing programmes.
. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, analytical, communication and change-management capabilities.
. Experience managing marketing budgets, agencies, vendors and multi-channel programmes with measurable outcomes.
. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international and evolving organisation, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution when required.
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
