Civil Engineering/Architecture
Our client, a leading construction company in Singapore. As the BMS Senior Engineer (Building Management System), you will be responsible for assisting the BMS Manager and managing the aspects of Building Management System works, ensuring successful project execution from design through to handover.
This position reports to the BMS Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, review, and implementation of detailed BMS engineering designs, drawings, and documentation.
- Support the selection, procurement, and delivery of BMS equipment, hardware, and software in line with project specifications.
- Supervise and coordinate BMS installation works with subcontractors, vendors, and other discipline engineers.
- Conduct and witness testing and commissioning (T&C) of BMS components, ensuring smooth integration with HVAC, electrical, lighting, fire protection, security, and plant systems.
- Support the configuration, programming, and troubleshooting of BMS controllers, graphics, and communication networks.
- Ensure all site works comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and submit method statements, test plans, progress reports, and as-built documentation.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and authorities for technical clarifications, inspections, and approvals.
- Provide technical support during system handover and assist in resolving defects during the Defects Liability Period.
- Assist the BMS Manager in tracking progress, resolving issues, and meeting project deadlines.
Requirement & Preferences
(Must)
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in BMS management within M&E environments (including ACMV)
- Proven track record in design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of BMS systems in complex facilities (such as power plants, incineration plants, data centers, airports, large industrial facilities).
- Strong knowledge of BMS software platforms (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Johnson Controls) and communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, OPC, LonWorks).
- Experience in system integration and interfacing with SCADA, EMS, and other plant systems.
- Willingness to work in the Tuas area (transportation provided from the designated MRT station).
- Ability to work on weekends or outside business hours when required
- Able to join with 1-2 months notice or short period
(Advantageous)
- Relevant professional certifications (such as PMP, BCA Specialist Registration, LEED, Energy Management) are advantageous.
